They have bad customer service. They hard sell their products and are very offensive when you dont take the packages up.

Very hard sell, and promise to give so many feebies. But you have to chase for months before you get them.
Lousy shower facilities. There aren’t hooks for hanging your clothes for most of the cubicles.
Don’t even have disposal sanitary bags.
Some trainers are on the phone while conducting trainings, or flipping magazines, or even ran to attend to somethings leaving trainees on their own.

Carlifornia gym has 0 tolerance for people who are late for class. I was just 3 mins late for my spinning class and was deny access. Not sure if this is a gym or an army camp.

I would wait until the new gym on Orchard is open – CF is getting very old now and the comeptition is hotting up so prices should come down!

sorry, california fitness will never lower their prices because they think they are premium. i bought 1 year membership with 2 years free, but the first year i had to pay 150 a month plus registration of 200 plus so total for 3 yrs would be 2060 or 57 bucks a month.

Not too bad but they hard sell and its irritating. they always keep telling you of new deals so that u will sign up a new membership even though u still have 2 yrs left.

if u realize, EVERYDAY is the last day for some promotion so dont get suckered in. wait out and go for your trial and see how it is. all their staff use the same approach that,”i wont bore you with the sales talk and cut to the chase” opening lines, BUT THAT IS their sales lines already and they will soon tell u all about some promotion with its final day today or tomorrow. remember, try out first.

I went for the first trial session at California Fitness – Orchard road. At first, the staff show me around the centre. But after that, she wants me to sign up their package immediately – with all the different plans (a bit pushy). I never sign up that time as I just wanted to give it a try first before I really commit to it! ;)

California Fitness is very good in their energy class as I find that the instructor will make the people to a very high level. I have joined them for more than 5 years.

My recommendation for the newbie is to find an outlet which is near your office or home – keeping fit need some self-discipline too! ;)
